General questions

Not only do blinds, shutters and curtains make your home look stylish, but they also keep your house warm in the winter, cool in the summer and can help reduce your heating and air conditioning costs.
At Stellar Shutters & Blinds, there isn’t much we don’t do. We supply and install Roller Blinds, Vertical Blinds, Venetian Blinds, Panel Glides and Roman Blinds, Curtains and Sheers, Plantation Shutters, PVC Shutters, Aluminum Shutters, Outdoor Blinds, and Awnings.
We usually have Indoor Blinds manufactured within a 2-3-week period. Outdoor Blinds, Curtains and Sheers within 6-8 weeks, and Shutters 6-8 weeks.
Yes, we do provide no obligation free measure and quote service. The measure and quote process is designed to provide you with the information you need to determine what product would be best suited for your home and individual requirements. Our Design Consultants are trained in all products and have a wealth of experience in our field. They will bring out fabrics, colour samples to help you make the most informed decision.
Choosing the right color, texture and product could either make or break your home interior appearance. For instance, if you choose blinds to match your walls, they make the room look bigger, if you match it to your floor it may make the room look smaller than it is. Let our experienced consultants help make your decision the right one.
We are concerned about the safety of children and strictly adhere to the Australian safety guidelines. We use child safety locks on our blinds and if safety is a major concern, we can make the blinds motorised which eliminates the need for chains and cords.

Placing an order with us

Overseas products do take longer due to the shipping time to Australia

  • Blinds: 2 weeks
  • Plantation Shutters: 6- 8 weeks

Please Note: Delivery times may change due to demand, availability of stock, logistics, customs, public holidays and Christmas holidays, Chinese New Year.

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • Credit cards – We accept Visa and MasterCard
  • Phone Payment – We can take payments over the phone
  • Direct Deposit – You can choose to pay via bank transfer or cheque deposit

Once you sign the agreement on the quotation and are aware of the terms and conditions.

As a company policy we require the outstanding balance to be paid on the day of installation. If there is a problem with any of the products during the installation, please hold the balance for the faulty product until we fix the issue for you.

It varies depending on the product and at what stage the order is at. Please call us as early as possible to discuss. Once an order has been processed, we can make changes within the time restraints listed below. Please note, this is only valid from the date of confirmation.

  • Plantation shutters – 2 business days
  • Blinds – 1 business day

As most of our products are custom made, a refund may be only possible if you cancel your order within 24 hours of confirmation. If you wish to cancel an order outside the 24 hour period, the deposit will not be refundable. If you wish to cancel the order at any stage thereafter please note charges will incur accordingly. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days. Payment will be refunded in the same manner as received.

Plantation Shutters Warranty

  • Up to twenty (25) year Warranty on the raw material and workmanship. The warranty on shutters varies between 5 and 25 years.
  • Please contact us for specific product enquiries. Fading and discoloration might not be covered on dark painted or stained shutters (depends on the brand of shutters you purchase).
We warrant this product is free from defects within the following Acceptable Standard Guidelines:
  • If a defect is visible with the naked eye in natural daylight at a distance of 1.2 meters, it is not acceptable;
  • If a defect is not visible with the naked eye in natural daylight at a distance of 1.2 meters, it is acceptable; and
  • Colour variations may occur between individual orders and sampling.
  • It is expected natural timber products will come with slight variations to size and finish inherent in the manufacturing process.
** Note:  “defect” means an imperfection, mark, dot, etc.
  • Stellar Shutters & Blinds guarantees that we will repair or replace, at our sole discretion, any parts or items we deem to be suffering from a defect. Stellar Shutters & Blinds, where possible, will repair or replace any product using identical components. If Stellar Shutters & Blinds’ designs and/or styles have been altered or upgraded, Stellar Shutters & Blinds will replace any components suffering from a defect with a part or product of comparable quality and value.
  • Stellar Shutters & Blinds will endeavor to process any claim made by you and carry out any repair or maintenance required as quickly as is practicable.
  • Stellar Shutters & Blinds is not responsible for any transport damage, incidental or consequential damage caused by accident, neglect, misuse, abuse or commercial use.
  • All claims under this Warranty must be reported within seven (7) days after the shutters have been installed. You must provide Stellar Shutters & Blinds with a reasonable opportunity to inspect the product before repairs are started. Please note that the warranty period shall not be extended by any such repair or replacement.
  • You must provide proof of purchase to Stellar Shutters & Blinds or its suppliers to make any claims under this Warranty.
  • Stellar Shutters & Blinds is not responsible for any transport damage, incidental or consequential damage or damage caused by accident, neglect, misuse, abuse or commercial use of the product not caused by our own negligence.
  • Custom painting of these products in dark colours will void the Warranty.
  • One (1) year warranty on installation.
  • Warranty on installations will not cover defaults on product not supplied by Stellar Shutters & Blinds or outside normal fitting standards.
  • Stellar Shutters & Blinds disclaims any liability and is not responsible for damages caused by faulty or unsound structures.
  • This warranty covers that all shutters will be working and operating the same as the day of installation, under non-commercial usage.
  • Stellar Shutters & Blinds guarantees will repair installations at our sole discretion.
This Warranty contains the only representations made by Stellar Shutters & Blinds to its customers. All other Warranties and representations whether expressed or implied by any legislation or otherwise, specifically the Trade Practices Act 1974 and the Sale of Goods Act 1923, are hereby excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Blinds & Curtains Warranty

We warrant this product is free from defects within the following Acceptable Standard Guidelines:

  • Blinds will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a maximum of 5 years excluding motors
  • Warranty on fabrics ranges from 1 to 5 years
  • Warranty is only valid when paid in full
  • Stellar Shutter & Blinds guarantees that we will repair or replace, at our sole discretion, any parts or items we deem to be suffering from a defect. Stellar Shutters & Blinds, where possible, will repair or replace any product using identical components. If Stellar Shutters & Blinds’ designs and/or styles have been altered or upgraded, Stellar Shutters & Blinds will replace any components suffering from a defect with a part or product of comparable quality and value.
  • Stellar Shutters & Blinds will endeavor to process any claim made by you and carry out any repair or maintenance required as quickly as is practicable.
  • Stellar Shutters & Blinds is not responsible for any transport damage, incidental or consequential damage caused by accident, neglect, misuse, abuse or commercial use.

  • This Warranty will not apply to any orders outside Stellar Shutters & Blinds’ recommended specifications.
